Offering a full car paint & body workshop facility incorporating the latest technology in purpose built premises for domestic customers and insurance companies.

Rob started his career in the automotive industry in 1982. At just 16 he joined Luffield Abbey Coachworks in Silverstone, as an apprentice panel beater and paint sprayer. After a few years in the position, he moved over to Tuthill Porsche in Wardington and continued to hone his craft.
After several years of working as a technician, he worked his way up to managing a shift at Hay’s Logistics. He then took on the role of Director at SGM Racepaint, where he spent the next 12 years of his career.

INTO THE UNKNOWN
In 2009, after 27 years in the industry, Rob decided it was time to go it alone. Shortly after setting up, he was approached by a former client: Prodrive. They liked Rob and the work he had done for them previously so they offered him an opportunity to prove himself and his newly founded business.
Rob made the most of the opportunity and went above and beyond to deliver for Prodrive and it paid off. Rob soon had to hire additional help to ensure he could keep up with demand.

BUILDING A REPUTATION
After the early success with Prodrive, Performance Refinishing developed a reputation within the Motorsport industry for delivering high-quality work on time. They began working with a wide range of clients such as Aston Martin and Multimatic.
Naturally, the team continued to grow with the demand and the reputation of Performance Refinishing only grew stronger.

Rob understands the value of teamwork, which is evidenced by the long-serving members of the team.
These days, Rob loves nothing more than spending his free time working on his bikes and American muscle cars. He’s built up quite a collection!
